The minimum operating system requirements for Norton Security are:

Windows
  • Microsoft Windows® 10 (All versions except Windows 10 S).
  • Microsoft Windows 8/8.1 or later (all versions). Some protection features are not available in Windows 8 Start screen browsers.
  • Microsoft Windows 7 (all versions) with Service Pack 1 or later
  • Microsoft Windows Vista (all versions) with Service Pack 1 or later*
  • Microsoft Windows XP (32 bit) Home/Professional with Service Pack 3 or later*
Mac
  • Current and previous two versions of Mac OS X. Password Management feature not supported.
  • Norton Family and Norton Family Premier features not supported
Android
  • Android 4.1.x or later. Must have Google Play app installed.
  • Android 4 or later required for Norton Family Premier Android app
iOS
  • iOS 8 or later

Norton Security covers PCs, Macs®, Androids™, iPads® and iPhones®. Some features are not available on iPad and iPhone.

* Your Norton client security software will no longer receive the new product updates that the customers on supported versions of Windows (Windows 10, Windows 8, and Windows 7) will receive. However, your Norton client security software will continue to receive the latest malware definitions by LiveUpdate, vulnerability updates and compatibility fixes.
